--The lights were my fault. We tested them both Friday and Saturday
and they worked perfectly. The only problem is I didn't check the ET and low and
behold, it didn't work.
--Some people in Sandy Lake complained about all the 4-wheelers and buggies on the
highway. Not to worry people of Sandy Lake. Next race all 4-wheelers and buggies
will be charged everytime they enter the park. That means ten bucks a pop everytime
they want to bring their bikes in. Guaranteed, that will stop that.
--Did you know? It's against the law to ride a 4-wheeler or unlicensed buggies on a state or parish highway. Everywhere!!!
--Hey Susan, you didn't miss a thing this weekend. I think I would've rather been
eating crawfish with you and Kevin.
--Hey now, not everything was bad. The crowd was awesome. It was people everywhere.
--Thank you to all you guys for being so patient with us.
--It turns out that two kids in Jr. high can not run the concession alone.
--I give Mega Lu a big ole thumbs down for their actions after the race. Before I explain
why let me just say that before this incident, they were laughing and enjoying themselves
and were fun to be around but you can't act like an ass when you have a disagreement.
--The breaking of the trophy and the paper snatching and ripping-up was childish at best!!
--Payout is plainly spelled out on the webpage and entry form. Pay-out is 100%.
1st place gets 50%, 2nd place gets 30% and 3rd gets 20% and that equals 100%.
--How about Bodacious? 2nd place with 1st gear only in 5.0 Breakout. Not bad.
--Bodacious chicken! It's great but it isn't free. So all you sneaky sneaks need to keep
your hands out of the fire. I only had two pieces, dammit!
--Word is we had 87 trucks there. I believe it was our biggest crowd ever. I hope all you
guys will give us one more chance. I PROMISE we won't disappoint!!
--Good news!! We are moving the ET class to the end of the races rather than starting out
with them.
--This is not a knock on all you ETers, it's just that you are the largest class and quite frankly the slowest, so we'll run all the other classes out and ya'll be our grand finale.
--More good news!!! We are totally redoing the lights. We are taking everything up and starting from scratch. They will be encased in concrete and totally covered. We are spending the time and money(whatever it takes) to get them right. I talked with David and he and I both agree that this is our top priority.
--We were ill prepared for the amount of people and trucks that showed up and we didn't have enough staff. We are going to correct that.
--I, personally, like watching the faster trucks than the slower ones but we sure do get alot of good racing out of the slower ones.
--It sure was a beautiful day for racing.
--That Flashback is one hell of a truck. Those guys have got it going on.
--How about that Mud Bog!!! Now that's fun to watch.
--What about Bret Gaspard bringing stuffed duck to grill. Watch out Bodacious!!!
--I hate that we disappointed everyone. Especially our friends: Mike's Transmission. Sure am glad you unloaded and stayed!!!!
--I never got the lady's name with the shoe polish but she wanted me to give her a shout out. So here it is!!!
--Poor David Mc was having a bad day. Not only did the lights screw him but his race truck caught on fire.
--Rhonda Baker made her debut. Wasn't too shabby. You go, girl!!!
--Thank you to all you guys for respecting the places we had roped off.
--Mega Lu did a hell of a job racing. They turned that truck on it's side back at the Bog track; we flipped it back over and it cranked right back up. He'd have a trophy to show if he hadn't gotten all mad and broke it.
--I still say they did a hell of a job racing.
